A very unproductive day! Such fun!

@Mary Beth I can now confirm that the WiFi battery pack does not affect listening performance. It just has different components inside to allow AudioStream activity. Best, Verena

No, he stated that the volume sounds high in normal program modes. It uses Sonnet 1. Let me see again what the situation is. Thank you @MED-EL Moderatörand @Mary Beth for your information.

Sonnet 2 Battery Compartment Cover Failure

Thank you for your answers. Yes, the tip loosens due to the heat and continuous opening. It gives a warning that the battery is out because it does not hold properly. I learned that in Turkey warranty is removed. I will try again. I will ask them to change it. I decided to put only the speech processor and cable coil in the dehumidifier. Previously I was placing all but the battery.

Sonnet 2 Battery Compartment Cover Failure

@Kerem Ozcan I had a lot of problems with false dead battery beeps when using Zenipower batteries with my Sonnets. I returned to using Power One Implant batteries and have not had that problem. My Sonnet battery cover had to be replaced also. I think it loosens up and then doesn’t press against the contacts strong enough. At first I believe my Sonnet battery covers only had a one year warranty in the US, which is ridiculous in my opinion because they are not an optional accessory. I think I have seen that now the battery covers have a 2 year warranty in the US. In my opin

A very unproductive day! Such fun!

Thank you Verena @MED-EL Moderator @Kerem Ozcan I wonder if the other AudioStream user was referring to the audio mix of AudioStream? It mixes 50/50 with our processor mics and streamed audio. We can reduce the processor mics by lowering both volume and sensitivity and then increasing volume on our phone/tablet. That is what I do. But at my next MAPping appt, I will ask my audiologist to create a MAP that lowers the processor mics volume and sensitivity for AudioStream use. It will be easier to just move into a dedicated AudioStream program when I want to dampen the processor

A very unproductive day! Such fun!

@Kerem Ozcan It’s my understanding that the WiFi disposable battery pack should not make anything sound different to us. It just allows the AudioStream to work. My Sonnet processors sound great. I did not experience an increase in volume. Let’s tag @MED-EL Moderator to be sure. @MED-EL Moderator should our Sonnet/Sonnet 2 processors sound the same when the AudioStream WiFi battery pack and AudioStream covers are attached but we are not streaming as when we use our regular battery pack and regular cover ?

    Hi!

I’m new to hear peers! I’m not new to the world of implants, just never knew this site existed. Anyhow, I have a cochlear implant, it was done nearly 7 years ago after suffering in silence for nearly 25 years. My experience gave me my life and career back! I’m 51 year old mother of three from Ontario who works as a Broadcast Journalist.

AudioLink "hacks": taking advantage of the remote mic feature

I'm sure lots of you have already figured this out, but I just realized the remote mic function on the AudioLink has some interesting uses. I'm SSD and wear over the ear headphones for many of my virtual meetings. Usually just throw it on over my Sonnet, but it can get uncomfortable after a bit. Today I was fidgeting and ended up resting my AudioLink on top of the earcup of my headphones (see picture)... and it works well! Now I can quickly switch up my "streaming" without messing with computer settings. I'm still not perfect listening CI-only (but getting better!). I can quickly grab my headp
