Hearing Again got a reaction from Mary Beth in Cochlear and Roku TV
Just thought of what I thought was a genius idea. Instead or getting Bluetooth out of my Dish network (which works) or Roku, which doesn’t, I thought I should use the original remote for the TV and look through it’s settings (I have Sony enigma TV, not an LG) but nothing. So I await the  TV streamer  and will let you know how it is when I get it.

Thanks for your response Mary Beth. A Sonnett was included in my Rondo I kit. I did not get the plus Kit, just the Rondo two and charging station. The truth is, I like the Rondo2 so much, I will probably never want to use my Sonnett again.
  5. Thanks

    Hi @Hearing Again
I am glad things continue to go well for you.
Activation kits in the US have been offering a Roger transmitter and receiver option for awhile now.  More recently, the transmitter option of Roger Select was added.  Both Roger Pen and Roger Select are transmitters which send the Roger sound signal to Roger receivers.
Rondo 2 can easily use the Roger MyLink neckloop receiver and we switch to MT or T with our Fine Tuner.
Sonnet has an integrated Roger receiver in the Roger 21 battery door.  It can also use a Roger X (02) receiver plugged into the FM battery cover.  It can use the Roger MyLink neckloop receiver too.

Did you receive your Rondo 2 under the plus Rondo 2 promotion?  Was a Sonnet in your activation kit?  If so, you may have the Roger 21 Sonnet Roger receiver in your kit.

Yeah Mary, me too. Forgot to charge mine after leaving my Audi around 4 on a Wednesday. It went all day the next day without a charge, so that night i purposely didn’t charge it to see how much longer it would go the next day. I figured it would be dead when I woke up, but it wasn’t. It didn’t go dead until aroung one in the afternoon.

Wow’d every step of the way from my activation in October when I heard the first noise in my left ear (a ding when my audi first tested it) up to a couple days ago when my audi mapped my Rondo 2.

Thank you Mary. Can’t wait to get it. And turning to Rondo upside down on the charging pad did the trick. I was just so anxious to charge it and use it again the next day, I figured, hmmm, must be magnet side to magnet side. Then, reading your post, voila. Thanks.

Thank you for your input Mary. Good to “hear” from you. (Pun intended, LOL).
So does the Sonnet 2 only have one microphone  making all those channels and sensitivity buttons moot?  But the sonnet 2 still has a telecoil right?

WOW MUSIC MOMENT!  Haven’t been able to pick up my violin since December 7, 1994. My personal Pearl Harbor day. That was the date of my first of what would turn into thirteen brain tumor surgeries, causing my hearing problems. The day since I have never been able to play my violin again.  CI implanted in September of this year, activated in October. Reading all this great stuff about music, I can dream of someday soon when I can again pick my violin up and make her cry and sing like she used to.

I am thank you. Today, I was in the Courtroom for the first time in almost a year. I heard almost everything the Judge said without saying “huh” or walking right up to the Judge’s Bench to hear.

I was slated to go to a school for the performing arts before I chose to go to law school. I was offered a full scholarship as a violin forte. But, after receiving a full scholarship to St Johns Law School in NY, I decided to go there, get my law degree and continue my true passion of music after that. Well, three days after becoming a lawyer, I was forced to undergo the first of what would turn out to be 13 brain surgeries for a brain tumor.  I was still able to hear well immediately after, but had to learn all my body skills again...walking, talking, seeing, dexterity, cognitive, and everything else. And by the time I did, the hearing problems started...never to resume my passion for music, never picking up my violin again.
My violin sits on display in my living room as you walk into it. I see it every day, but never thought I’d someday be able to play it again. I had played it in concerts, my church folk group, theatrical venues in both acting on stage while playing it, and it the orchestra pit, and most importantly, for a one person audience, ME! Reading these articles about music put tears in my eyes, as does writing this. To thing, I’m going to soon be able to hear it sing again on my shoulder...thank you so much for sharing all this.

Hello, my name is Chris Arnone. 24 years ago, almost this very day, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor.  13 brain surgeries later, three years in hospitals and rehab, I was able to get back to my life, albeit a WHOLE LOT DIFFERENT. Double vision, balance and memory problems, but still good hearing...then, little by little, I would lose my hearing in either ear, but it would come back partially. Until one time, my left ear never heard again. Fast forward, 23 years after resuming my career as a lawer, which I was for only three days before being diagnosed with the tumor, I had to retire at only 49, for my hearing problems and many other health problems I have. Only three months ago, had my Sonnet and Rondo implanted, activated two months ago.
Long and short of it, I’m a newbie and am beyond overwhelmed by all of this. I have so many questions and worries...any advise or thoughts, as many as possible, is what I need right now.
