  1. Hello. I'm new to this forum. I got some hearing aids that work great except for the bluetooth that connects to the tv. The manual is confusing and my problem does not show up in the FAQ area. The technition providing them for me advised that I just need to plug in the TV part of it. She advised that as long as I have the green light and amber light on it should be ok. I have both lights on and I can hear the tv fine and can raise and lower it as well. We have it conected with the Digital audio out optical output on the TV, to the optical audio input of the unit. My issue is that the volume fluctuates up and down on its' own when watching things on Netflix or Prime. Can anyone enlighten me of some kind of fix? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much Pamela
  2. Recently talking with my audiologist daughter about how I wish I could connect simply to bluetooth with my hearing aid and implant... I stumble across this! It is ridiculously simple and cheap and the results are astonishing. I really don't know why I had not thought of this before, it is the hearing persons answer to the 'No more 3.5mm headphone plug on moble phones'. I can hear very clearly and I don't know why because although part of this bluetooth set up uses the Direct Audio Input cable which in itself is very good, it is actually better than the 3.5mm plugged in cable alone! With this simple gadget called a X6 Bluetooth reciever adapter, I can connect to any bluetooth enabled device weather it be mobile phone, Windows10 Laptop, Desk top computer, car radio etc. There is NO confusing, hard to set up software between hearing aids/Implant/s and device. It is a simple plug in, switch on, and play thing. Speech conversations via Zoom, Whatsapp or telephone calls are very good too and perfectly in sync. The great thing about this is that it only cost £2.99 ($4.17) ($Aus 5.37) with free post on ebay. All I need to do now is to shorten the connecting cable, and then clip the X6 box to the collar of my shirt or even stick it under my hat and I'm good to go. Battery only lasts about four hours but at the price it cost I have another two in my pocket, so when battery is exhasted, just unplug it and plug in a fresh dongle - too easy! The X6 box is charged by a micro usb cable, and there is also a micro SD card slot which I assume is for your music files, I've not tried this yet. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wireless-Bluetooth-3-5mm-Phone-To-AUX-Car-Stereo-Music-Receiver-Adapter-Mic-UK/392897981351

  8. re: cochlear implants - - Has anyone purchased a bluetooth cordless landline phone & used it with the Quattro 4.0? My current cordless landline phone (old) does not seem to be loud enough when attempting to use it with my cochlear implant. Last visit with audiologist I had her add a louder program but still no luck. (currently using microphone rather than telecoil as terrible buzzing when attempting to use telecoil with my old phone-no matter the phone placement) I currently use the Quattro 4.0 (came with my implant system) to listen to audio books on my ipad. Was planning to just get a Hearing Aid Compatible cordless landline phone but checked with Med El to see if bluetooth cordless landline phone might somehow be better. They said using it in conjunction with the Quattro may sound better than just using telecoil alone. Anyone have experience with this? I found a panasonic cordless phone that is bluetooth & also has an amplifier. The regular bluetooth panasonics had quite a few reviews that the volume was not loud enough. Don't want to purchase a new phone & find out it is not loud enough so that's why I'm thinking the one with the amplifier. If you don't have a bluetooth cordless landline phone, do you have any feedback on hearing aid compatible cordless landline phones & your ability to hear on them?
