    A re-introduction

I would like to re-introduce myself as I first logged on way back in 2016 and somehow lost my way. On July 8, 2016, my first implant was activated, and I was amazed at the positive change it made in my life. I never gave myself the chance to come familiar enough with Hearpeers, and I joined the FB page for Med-El users. There I read so much about a second implant and my second one was activated in Oct. of 2017. It was a phenomenal boost in every way imaginable. I thought I was keeping up with the tech stuff, graduating from Quattro to Roger, to Audiolink, but I think I was fooling myself. I did not use my cell phone except for texting, did not use my phone for music, and I thought I was content. With my upgrade this past week on my right Sonnet, I got AudioStream and a second receiver for my left ear. Terrific. But I couldn't get the two Sonnets to connect. Took me right back to Hearpeers, and as I write this I am listening to music streaming directly to both implants. It's great. It's clear. And I know it's time to get involved here.
  2. Hi Mary Beth we are still struggling with our Roger Pen + receiver purchase. After several weeks of back and forth and a lot of frustration our audi has just exchanged the Roger X03 for the Roger X02. YAY. Apparently there was miscommunication between Phonak and Audi resulting in our getting the wrong receiver. It took over two months to rectify but thanks to your guidance we kept insisting we needed the 02. The problem now is that John is still hearing a beep on start up and I think you (maybe someone else) had said that when it's set on setting 3 there would be no beeps on start up. So I am now thinking maybe it is still not set right?? Can you guide me again, please. Thanks. Could it possibly be different when using the 3 pens (1 roger pen and 2 easy pens). Thanks.
  3. Hi, I am anticipating my 2nd implant on October 9. I didn't have any problems with the first implant so I'm not expecting any now. My concern is, I am committed to co-host my book club on the 11th. It would be better if I checked my calendar when I schedule this stuff but being me, I didn't! ? So I'm wondering if I'll be fit to do this. I can't remember what I was like the 2nd day after first time around though I do know I had no pain really. I'm sure I won't be a fashion plate . I plan to buy the refreshments so that won't be a problem. I don't know why I get myself into these predicaments! ! Any advice?
