Clearer sound with new mic covers

Today my calendar alerted me that is was time to change my Sonnet mic covers.  I change them every 2 months because that maintains great sound quality for me.  Med-El recommends changing the mic covers every 3 months or sooner if a change in sound quality is noticed.  So I have an event on my phone calendar set to repeat every 2 months.

And it is amazing how just changing the mic covers refreshes the audio quality.

Is it time to change your mic covers?

Thanks for reminding me! I ordered new covers 2 months ago when i used my last spare.  No sign of them yet)  We are testing my insurance....Last week i decided to just pay cash for a few since i need so many, so hopefully i will be pink green or orange, and of course the sound quality will improve with color!!!! Exciting!!

Forgot to mention I also clean the battery frames using cotton swabs with alcohol when replacing the microphone covers.

Cool, i went through a heeelp call with customer service first week of activation when the rechargable tray wouldnt work. The questions/steps we went through were " have you cleaned every surface with alcohol swab"

Of course at the time i had brand new equipment out of the package so i was a little piqued at the time but the alcohol cleaning got imbedded in my mind! Its always good to regularly "service" our equipment!!

I'll do it next month,, But from my experience I change it every 6 month 🙈,,  because I didn't notice any change of sound quality when I did as the company recommended,, and that will save some money 😅
