HearPeers Heroes Cara Mia Posted February 23, 2016 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted February 23, 2016 Ha's are not covered in the U.S. Because it is considered a prosthetic device. CI's. Are different. To be fair I need to say that some insurance companies in the US cover HA. But in general I agree, that HA are covered not enough how it should be especially considering how badly hearing loss affects people' life. HearPeers Heroes Adam Posted February 23, 2016 Author HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted February 23, 2016 I agree 100% Cara Sadly, the hearing aid companies don't see it that way. Or at least the FDA doesn't. I'm sure the HA companies want to sell to as many as they can.
HearPeers Heroes Kara of Canada Posted February 23, 2016 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted February 23, 2016 I think they sell less because they aren't covered.
