Thanks, Adam this is my next project. I've tried listening while driving but the sounds do not compute. I think the idea of a quiet place is better.

This should be done in quiet environment definitely.

I have read these advices - very good written with many useful informations how to get acquiant with music (again). :)

What I would add is the fact that if anyone try to listen music today from the internet or through the computer system should be prepared that it is necessary to have an amplifier because otherwise music is too quiet. I guess it is due to the noise restrictions these days. For instance, when I try to listen music just over the internet (YT) I have to put a volume to a maximum to get a certain (but not too loud experience) feeling for a music. But, if you buy the cheapiest amplifier it will be much easier to get a decent volume.

Also, it is good to listen music through a software which has an equalizer - some programs already have predefined situations for certain type of music: for classic, rock, more bass etc.
