@MED-EL Moderator

 What type of mix ratio are options for the DAI?  Does it only impact plug in DM receivers or does it also affect the mix with the red/yellow jack cables?

How much of a telecoil boost is possible?

Hi @Mary Beth, thank you for asking.

For the direct audio input, the yellow cable is for 50:50 mixing ratio and the red cable is for 90:10 mixing ratio (mainly the external source).

It's possible to have microphone attenuation for the FM connection up to 6 db.

For the telecoil it is possible to booster it up to 9 db.

Please let us know if you wish further clarification, thank you.

Kind Regards,

Giulia

Thank you @MED-EL Moderator Giulia

If the audiologist set the FM connection at the 6 dB attenuation for a decrease in the volume of the FM signal, would that apply when using the Roger 21 sleeve too or only if using a FM plugged into the Med-El FM sleeve?

Hi @Mary Beth,

The 6 dB attenuation is in the microphone signal when the FM is connected to the processor, but not to the FM signal. So, this is to emphasize the FM signal not to reduce it. And yes, this applies also if you're streaming using to Roger 21.

To be noted as well, the 6 dB microphone signal attenuation occurs only when using a directional microphone settings.

Kind Regards,

Giulia
