Kay in Ohio just saying hi. I'm scheduled for a Med El implant in June and am both anxious and apprehensive. I've had aids for years but I have been rapidly losing my hearing for the last month and am struggling to know what is being said. I have a good hearing aid but it is not much use anymore. Noise? Oh yeah!

Noise? Oh yeah! But not anything I can use. I sure hope I get something better from the cochlear. If anyone has any suggestions for coping with my frustration until I can get implanted I'm open to suggestions. My music group participation has gone belly up which brings tears.

Hello Kay!

Welcome to the Hearpeers - I'm on the road so I have seen your post little bit late... BUT if you anything what you want to share with us, ask us - please do, I am pretty sure we'll find an answer for you ;)

June is already here :) - what you need to know that it is not a plug&play device so lot of practice, patience and, after all perseverance you will have to invest into yourself BUT it's not a trick, a candy always comes after. :P
