Battery Covers

They are not interchangeable.  Opus 2 battery covers slide on easily and then are secured when we close the lever that both secures the battery covers and also powers on the Opus 2.  Sonnet battery covers slide on snugly with the air vents on the same side as the cable and when the covers are pressed fully closed the Sonnets power on.

Did you receive the wrong battery covers?

The only items that work with both the Opus 2 and the Sonnet are things like the activity hooks, DAI cables and D-coils.

@KittKatz

If you are trying to order Sonnet battery cover and FM cover (which is the DAI cover) in anthracite color they are

item number 30881 for Sonnet battery cover (anthracite)

item number 30492 for Sonnet FM cover (anthracite)

You may be able to get at least the battery cover through your insurance if you are lucky.  I believe Med El only covers the battery covers for 1 year under warranty.  I was fortunate and my insurance covered replacements for regular battery covers.  I have not tried my insurance for FM covers yet.  Good luck.

This forum is very restrictive about posting pics.  I have already used up my allotment of space for pics.  I will message a pic to you.
