Does anyone know if MedEl can give my name and email address to folks who've had the implant done at my hospital and by my surgeon? HearPeers Heroes Adam Posted May 31, 2013 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted May 31, 2013 Lisa actually how your hospital can do it is by asking permission first. my hospital sends me people all the time that are thinking about getting an implant and have questions. once they get permission from both parties involved, you should be fine. I do believe medel has folks that you can contact who have implants. It would just be a matter of finding somebody close to you. They put me in contact with a CI recipient in NC. Your audi should be able to help0 you more quickly than the hospital, or are they one and the same? have a great weekend and relax! please? I'm the type who likes to know details ahead of time, if possible, and no one has contacted me, offering to hook me up with any 'live' peers (as opposed to my friendly online Peers ). Maybe I have too much time on my hands... I should get my mind off of this CI stuff a bit... Anyway, I did contact my audi and she called a man who has a similar hearing history & lives in a different New England state. He agreed to speak with me and she gave him my email address.
