Sometimes low tech, simple solutions are best

This summer I traveled and wanted to be prepared for any tour guides that used remote mics and handed out receiver boxes with earbuds to guests.  Receiver boxes with headphones are very easy to use with Sonnets but earbuds pose a problem.  After considering many options I chose to bring along very simple, basic options that did not require charging and could pack up small and just remain in my day bag if needed.

I chose the Sonnet FM battery cover and single red (90/10) cable which can plug into any headphone jack.  This would deliver that audio to one side and leave my other side completely open to hear my family and the surroundings.

I also chose to bring along just the CozyPhones headband without the flat stereo speakers in case the receiver box with earbuds did not allow me to replace the earbuds with my own cable.  This way I could use the larger dipped headband to position the earbud strategically for my Sonnet mics.

In case any of the tours actually use our own phones, I packed the lightning to headphone adapter.

Small items, easy to pack and just always available.

Sometimes low tech is best.

BOSE QC35 around the ear headphones worked wonderfully on the planes.

I have used those sleeves and loved the 90/10 mix. Glad it’s available for potential situations where they’re handy.
