karenRS
This is aimed at those of you with Sonnet/Sonnet 2. I often find the bit under the microphone cover comes loose. This might happen as I remove the battery cover-don't know for sure. At the moment it's taped until I get a replacement. Has anyone any ideas to stop this from happening? John F
Are you securing your mic cover securely? Should feel it locking in. Have read a couple folks have had issues with their processors but thought those were the battery section. Think @Enegra? Can’t remember offhand. According to others, this starts happening if you pinch on the sides of the processor when say, pulling the sleeve off, for example.
karenRS
Ah yes! I think I'm pinching on the sides.. If I hold over the microphone, it might not happen. Thanks

Quite common failure point in Sonnets. I've been handling my processors the way Med-El shows in the videos and it still happened, sometimes it seems to be down to luck. I've been through two replacements on my left side and still using the original one on the right. The right side processor still seems just fine. HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted August 21 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted August 21 @karenRS Sonnet/Sonnet2 users have been reporting that issue. It seems to be related to pressure accidentally being placed on the control unit when pulling down or pushing up the battery cover.
karenRS
I think you are right. I hope they can modify the design so you don’t accidentally pull it apart when you remove the battery cover
