We have options and they only indicate our preferences

People with typical hearing choose to use a variety of ways to enjoy listening.  Some prefer AirPods.  Others prefer bone conduction headphones.  And others prefer around the ear noise canceling headphones.  No matter how they choose to listen, we accept it as their preferences and make no judgements.

People with hearing loss who listen with cochlear implants, hearing aids or other devices deserve the same respect.  We can choose to use a variety of ways to enjoy listening.  And our choices should be viewed as merely our preferences- not a judgement on how well we hear or how well our brand of hearing tech performs.

Explore your listening options.  Find out what works best for you and enjoy listening.
