HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted September 24 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted September 24 The original AudioLink requires using cables or its dock to sound sources in order to have separate left/right audio channels. When using Audio2Ear for streaming music without cables/dock it is a blended sound- same in left and right ears. @MED-EL Moderator will the new AudioLink XT deliver separate left and right sound without using cables/dock? Lauren
@MED-EL Moderator For the dock question, is the AudioLink XT compatible with the original AudioStream’s dock?

There is no Bluetooth input to the AudioLink XT as we have direct Bluetooth connectivity integrated into the SONNET 3. Therefore, the Audio2Ear app is no longer required. The AudioLink XT is intended to be used as a TV streamer, remote microphone, and to support legacy devices, including the audio jack and the telecoil. Additionally, FM systems can be connected to the AudioLink via the FM adapter. All these inputs can be streamed to the SONNET 3 in stereo. HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted October 1 Author HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted October 1 Thank you @MED-EL Moderator I did not realize that AudioLink XT did not have BT input. With Sonnet 3 and AudioLink XT will it be possible for someone with one ASHA HA and Sonnet 3 to stream phone calls and all other audio from an iPhone to both the HA and Sonnet 3? How is this done- only by using cables to attach the iPhone to the AudioLink XT? Buzz Dee
MED-EL Moderator
Hi Lauren and Mary Beth, thanks for your questions. 1. The AudioLink XT is compatible with the AudioStream dock. 2. AudioLink XT uses the ASHA protocol. It can stream to the SONNET 3 and an ASHA-supported hearing aid at the same time. Kind regards
