Has anyone had problems with their finetuner? I was in a restaurant today and used the sensitivity key to decrease the audio, then tried decreasing using the volume key. I pressed the volume key a number of times, but it made no difference. Any suggestions? Perhaps reconfigure with the processor?

Sandy:  This may or not be your problem.  I had the same thing happen when I first got the Rondo and then remembered that the fine tuner has to be "paired" with each device, so I put the Rondo on the face of the fine tuner and then turned the Rondo on.  Lights flash on the fine tuner and problem solved.  I found that if I go back to the Opus, I have to do the same thing each time.  Apparently the fine tuner can only be paired with one device at a time.  Hope this helps.

Regards,

Walker

Thanks Walker. I tried that and now am wondering if i did something wrong when pressing the sensitivity button. Do you press it once or twice. The manual ndicates twice if locked. I'm confused.

Did you try pressing and holding the sensitivity button for a few seconds until it work. I am no expert on the Rondo, but some electronic device required to press and hold until something happen.

is it just the sensitivity that is not working? I wonder if maybe the finetuner needed to be paired with the processor or if you were in the wrong "channel" (which Rondo to control)...

Anytime you change processors, (Rondo <> Sonnet or Opus), you must re-pair the fineruner to that processor.

  1. turn off processor
  2. Set FineTuner on a flat surface
  3. Set Rondo or the magnet of your Opus or Sonnet on the FineTuner keyboard
  4. Turn on the Processor and see the the FineTuner lights blink
  5. Your FineTuner is now re-paired for that processor!

Do this anytime you switch your processor and you will be good to go.

You do not have to re-Pair the FineTuner when you change batteries either!

Funnygirl

try what JD suggested first.

The battery might be an issue. I would contact your audiologist as well as your customer service rep to help you troubleshoot any further problems
