HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted September 28 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted September 28 Sometimes people are looking for a way to stream via BT so no cables are involved and for one reason or another direct to processor, BT headphones, flat BT headband speakers, BT neckloop like Artone., etc are not what they need. Maybe these users …. - use a HA in one ear and a CI in the other and dual streaming is not an option - have typical hearing on one ear and a CI in the other and do not want to use BT headphones or BT flat stereo speakers - have a pacemaker which prevents the use of a BT neckloop due to restrictions from the pacemaker For some, a small BT clip on speaker is the answer. Please keep in mind that others will also hear the audio from these speakers. @Joan has experience using this small BT clip on speaker
Joan
@Mary Beth this is a terrific Bluetooth speaker. After my recent pacemaker implant, I was advised to not use my Artone neck loop (I am bilateral Rondo 2 which have a t-coil but no direct streaming option). This speaker is very lightweight and small (3”L x 1-3/4”W x 1”D) and can be worn, attached to clothing either using either its clip or magnet. Because the magnet is “built in”, I clip it on my opposite side a sufficient distance from my pacemaker. Since I live alone, I often attach it magnetically to an object in the room rather than wearing it and it works very well. It has all-day battery life and it “speaks” to you…announces when it’s powered on, the battery condition, when it’s connected, and when it’s powered off.
