Bailey
Good morning peeps, getting cold out there 🥶. I bought of Bose Quiet Comfort 45 headphones, and am not having much luck with getting them in so called Quiet Mode. Not sure if you can get a quiet mode with a CI, I mean how do you cut off your CI? When you put your headphones on, I imagine they need to cover your processor, but mine just cover my ears and leave the rest of the processor outside of the cushioned area, is that why? Thanks for any advice you can give me. Hames Quote Link to comment https://forum.hearpeers.com/topic/23402-quiet-comfort-45/ Share on other sites
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted October 29, 2024 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted October 29, 2024 @Bailey BOSE QC have a large cushioned ear cup. Position them over your ears (include the Sonnet mics which should automatically fit inside since those are sitting at the top of our ears). The coil does not need to be included. Noise canceling tech is designed to cancel noise at the entry to the ear canal. Since our Sonnet mics are not positioned at the ear canal, we do not experience the same level of noise cancellation. I called it more - noise dampening. If we desire to completely knock out all background noise and only hear streamed audio, headphones are not the solution. I am not bothered by any environmental sounds when using my BOSE QC headphones. I just adjust the volume on my phone so the streamed audio is comfortably loud. HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted October 29, 2024 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted October 29, 2024 @Bailey I happen to be using my BOSE QC35 today with Sonnets using the longer MAX rechargeable battery covers. Bailey
Thanx again Mary Beth. The pads on these headphones are only large enough to sit on my ears, no bigger. I thought these would work for me, but the only noise cancelling for this guy is using a Telecom, could be due to where the inside of my CI is on the inside of my head, which might be higher than most because of the shunt I have in my head. Back to the drawing board as they say! James Quote Link to comment https://forum.hearpeers.com/topic/23402-quiet-comfort-45/#findComment-84191 Share on other sites
