JohnL
About a month ago I upgraded to a Rondo3. It has a level 3 magnet just like my original Rondo2. But I find that late in the afternoon the skin between the external and internal magnet hurts. Any suggestions as to why and/or solutions? HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted November 25 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted November 25 @JohnL that is usually a sign that the magnet strength needs to be changed If it was me I would connect with my audiologist right away Quote Link to comment https://forum.hearpeers.com/topic/23647-rondo-3-magnet/#findComment-84721 Share on other sites
JohnL
Thanks. That’s what I thought but the current magnet is the same strength as my previous Rondo so I thought it should be okay. I have an appointment with my audiologist 12/11. Quote Link to comment https://forum.hearpeers.com/topic/23647-rondo-3-magnet/#findComment-84726 Share on other sites
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted November 25 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted November 25 @JohnL Other users have reported the same thing so perhaps although sharing the same magnet strength number, something is different. In the meantime you can use a piece of thin moleskin (found at most stores near the shoe inserts) to ease comfort. Timfully
I had a similar problem. My audiologist inserted a slightly less powerful magnet. No more pain, and the Rondo 3 still stays firmly on my head (I have short hair at the implant site though).
