Unbelievable!!

Before 2 weeks back I received direct message from new member, he was asking for help because by mistake his nephew Rondo washed more than 20 minutes at least in washing machine before they discovered it missed!

However, I give him some instructions because he read my story “Rondo falled down in W.C.”.

I told him to remove batteries and using hair dryer carefully because if using directly maybe will heat Rondo and damage it or burn internal hardware, also I asked him to be patient and keep Rondo in dryer kit after that reuse hair dryer and keep it back again in dryer kit.

However, I’m so happy that instructions help his baby nephews and Rondo work perfectly without any issues.

Moreover, I told him to take it for nearest Med-El center to check it to be sure. He was so happy because they didn’t lose Rondo “total damage” after washing by mistake in washing machine, it’s amazing and great that Rondo not water proof or rating IP68 and still working perfectly.

I faced two stories on my devices (Opus 2 and Rondo) and now it was the third case and it’s my pleasure to help my friends and colleagues in similar bad situation.

I have also been there. Washed the FineTuner in my pants packet one day.

Fearful that I ruined it, I  removed the battery and placed the FineTuner the battery door and battery in the drying kit that came with the suitcase of CI equipment.

Ran it through a few drying cycles and was good as new!

I'd probably have a heart attack if I did this. Good I don't like to keep anything in my pockets. Sounds like those pockets are our worst enemies :)

Our greatest enemies actually or as Robert Frost has written: "The woods are lovely, dark and deep..."

Find my pockets like that and always ignore them as the storage option for my Samba: it can be placed only at my direct eye-contact or on my head. When I make something else, I feel a bit distressed and feel the urge to correct my previous move...

I have yet to find a decent day to day kit for carrying my extra sonnet rechargeable batteries and my fine tuner and my Roger pen ( I use Roger X receiver).

Thus, I put my FineTuner in my Jeans coin pocket (Note- Levi Straus was a genius when he designed that little pocket to exactly fit a FineTuner!)

I put my spare batteries case and Roger pen in one pocket, keys in another, iPhone and Wallet in back pockets.

I am not ready for a fanny pack yet.

Now when I clean the pool EVERYTHING  comes out and sonnets come off BEFORE I work on the pool!

@Jdashiell

LOL.  Lots to carry around.

Shirt pockets work great for Fine Tuner in one and rechargeable battery pack or extra disposable batteries in the other too.

Fine Tuner turned facing in or with keys locked prevents accidental setting changes.

I am fortunate that my insurance covers disposable batteries.  I returned to using them again when the standard rechargeable Sonnet batteries no longer lasted a full work day.  Since I stay in one program almost all of the time, I do not carry the Fine Tuner everyday.  I bring it along if I plan on using the Artone 3 MAX BT neckloop or if I will be in a loud setting and wish to switch to an adaptive program.

So at the moment, I just place extra disposable batteries in a pocket and I am good to go.  Smile.
