Since so many SPAM attacks occur on weekends and we must wait until Monday for Med-El tech staff to clean it up, is it possible for you to suspend new member sign ups during that time period? Allow new members to join only during the work week so your tech staff are monitoring HPs and can quickly remove the spammers. Just a suggestion.
