I think NEWS IN EASY ENGLISH is my new favorite online rehab site for adults and teens.  Check it out.  Great options on this free site!

@lizjlong

check out the above pic about News in Easy English.  Try the shadowing option.

It’s another way to listen and follow with text and it is free.

So...I had my left ear activation three weeks ago and have one ear that hears well.  I'm wondering how you use these sites if you have one ear that has good hearing?

I have another audiologist visit in 9 days.  She wasn't too keen on me plugging my good ear to force my left ear to interpret sounds, saying "Your brain needs to be trained to have both ears work together."

Currently, my brain just tends to ignore these fuzzy sounds coming from my left ear.

Thanks for your help!

@Lynn Agnes

If you want to train your new CI ear, you can send the sound just to that ear.

options include....

-Med-El direct audio input cable plugged into the Sonnet FM battery door (red jack)

-Artone 3 MAX BT neckloop with your Sonnet on T (via the Fine Tuner remote)

-Roger transmitter (Roger Select or Roger Pen) and Roger 21 battery cover on Sonnet

All of these ways will send the audio from your aural rehab app or website only to your CI side for training.

I will tag @Gemma for suggestions for training single sided deaf new CI.
