Rondo1-Batteries every three days or Rondo2 - rechargeable daily.

I prefer the sleeker, low profile lighter weight and rechargeable feature of the Rondo2

@Jdashiell

If you do a trade in and self pay for a second Rondo 2 kit, I would be interested in learning what items are in those kits.

When I received my first Rondo 1, I chose it as an activation processor.  When I received my second Rondo 1, it was under a plus Rondo Med-El promotion.  The two kits were different.

I received my first Rondo1 with my first MedEl Kit - 1 Sonnet/1 Rondo so it was part of the overall kit

With my first CI on the left side a year later I also received a sonnet/Rondo kit. The implant needed to be redone so a few months later I received a another kit - Sonnet/Rondo

Again implant needed replacing. So... i finally get the implant issue resolved and at activation received another 2 processor kit with a Plus Rondo2 coupon. That was April 2018. In December 2018, I received the Rondo2 in its own kit:

Rondo 2

clips

Recharger

Mic covers

Magnet

books

You definitely had a tough road with your second implant Joe.  So happy that in the end, you got it all straightened out.

I am scheduled for implant in February.  Were your failures a surgical problem or device failure?

Yes, I've studied it thoroughly (best of my ability).  Med-El website and docs are very good for the  uninformed.  This forum has helped too. That said, I"m sure to have many questions after surgery and look forward to "talking" to you and others.
