HearPeers Heroes Jdashiell Posted March 8, 2019 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted March 8, 2019 Here is another one @Mary Beth https://blog.medel.com/what-is-an-individualized-cochlear-implant/ A very cute analogy between cochleas and shoe sizes. However, I doubt we wear a size 8.5 on the left foot and a 9 on the right, though. We typically buy one she size or the other. With our cochlea's, we depend on the surgeon to measure and determine the proper implant for our left and right cochleas. I have a FLEX28 (28mm in the cochlea) in my right ear and a CLASSIC MEDIUM (24mm in the cochlea) in my left ear. HearPeers Heroes Jdashiell Posted March 8, 2019 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted March 8, 2019 This describes all the MedEl implants - see attached. I don't remember where I found it - perhaps you, @Mary Beth, have that information? Electrode Arrays.pdf
