HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted April 13, 2019 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted April 13, 2019 @Carolmarie facial twitching is something that our audiologists usually can correct by MAPping changes. Have you asked for another MAPping appt? Med-El has audiologists who can join in our appts if our audiologists invite them. I am sorry this has happened. I hope it gets fixed soon so you can start enjoying your Rondo 2!
HearPeers Heroes hadron Posted April 13, 2019 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted April 13, 2019 @Carolmarie ask your audiologist if they are using MAESTRO 7.0 system software. This upgrade includes triphasic pulses which are usually successful at minimizing or suppressing facial nerve stimulation. https://blog.medel.pro/triphasic-pulses-for-facial-nerve-stimulation/

HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted April 14, 2019 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted April 14, 2019 @Carolmarie Help me remember. You have 1 CI side correct? Do you use a hearing aid on the other side? You were activated with a Rondo 1 processor? You aren’t able to use your Rondo 1 processor either? You have had a very complicated journey. I hope things get sorted out soon.
