Cochlear Implant

Hi

I'm hoping someone out there can answer a question of mine.

Was wondering how long did each individual have to wait upon the Cochlear implant process?

I believe I am at the best I can be by going into this.

It's been one year and two months for I had other complications that had arised.

But doing better with all!

Thanks Lori

@Lori Martin

I completed all of the steps between December 2014-February 2015 and had my first CI surgery in February.  So 2 months between starting the process and the surgery.

Hi Mary Beth

May I ask what are the steps?

I'm in Psychiatrist and they say I need to be mind, body, healthy.

Thank you

Lori

I have already picked out my Implant of chose, which is med El.

I went with simple!

There were many to choose from.

But med El was the best for my chose.

Thank you

Lori

Until the CI team clears you for the implant, the surgery will not be scheduled. Have you asked your CI team what is needed to be cleared for surgery?

I hope it happens soon for you.  Good luck.

Hi Mary Beth

Yes I have asked my CI team.

I just need to be mind, body, healthy ready before under going this type of surgery.

I'm just waiting for my CI specialist to contact me.

Thank you

Lori

Good luck.  Hopefully they will schedule your CI surgery soon.  Which processor did you choose?  Sonnet or Rondo 2?
