shinavn
I just figured something out. I've been having headaches since I had my implantation on Friday, and it just didn't seem right, it was the wrong kind of head pain to be attributed to the surgery. It's the glasses that I can't wear. I have progressive lenses, so when I tried removing the earpiece they just ended up crooked and then I wasn't able to see through the right zone in my prescription. It's funny, though, once I realized what was going on, the headache stopped bothering me much. At least I know what it is. Did anyone else have that problem with their glasses?? HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted July 4, 2019 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted July 4, 2019 @shinavn Congratulations on your implantation! Which processor did you choose? Yes I have progressive lenses and had removed one arm of my glasses for surgery. I had to tape up the other arm with a small piece of stiff folded paper so my glasses would sit level with only one arm. Good luck. Rest easy. When is activation? HearPeers Heroes Mary Featherston Posted July 4, 2019 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted July 4, 2019 @shinavn - yes indeed, I had that exact experience. I can't see well without my progressive lenses, so I decided the discomfort at the incision site was better than not seeing and always having headaches. It got more comfortable pretty quickly.
