When and where do you remove Rondo 2 for safety concern.

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

As my title say where do anyone has remove before doing such activity or going for fast ride as i dont use hair clip or sticker. My rondo 2 came with 4 round magnet which is strong enough i guess. My previous audio device temp+/Opus1 had behind the ear hook which has sometime save from falling. Also do you recommend if i should try wearing rondo 2 in water sport with water proof cover and also in water slide activity or any ride in water park.

@Salik

I love using my Rondos in the water!  But I take extra precautions to make sure they are safe.

Here is what works great for me:

@Salik

I choose to secure my Rondos whenever an activity may pose a risk to them.

I may have to remove rondo 2 when I m goin on fast ride like roller coaster or water park slide. Will try to get clip or tether, but those can work with waterproof cover?

@Salik

I use Rondo waterwear cover, EarGear Rondo cover with tether and clip (clipped to a shirt) and the Nammucap all at the same time.

For rollercoasters I would take similar precautions.  I would use waterwear and EarGear with tether and clip all day at the amusement park and put on the Nammucap for rides.

That is just what makes me comfortable.  I love my Rondos and would never want to risk them.

Or bring along a small waterproof bag and remove them and insert them in the bag and secure the bag in a closed pocket for rides.

I am extra careful with my processors.  It makes me feel better.

@Salik No, I don't imagine the tethers will work with waterwear.  When I went Jet-skiing last year I wore waterwear and tied a scarf around my head to secure the processors (I wore my Sonnets, not Rondo, but I think you could so something similar).  I was nervous as heck but it ended up working well.

Thanks for the tip😊. Last year in amusement park with my kids i had to remove my rondo2 and kept it my pocket but those without screaming and shouting roller coaster ride in silent was quite weird. I will try to wear bands or maybe cap to secure my rondo2 but still dont want to risk it.

i had done jet skis many times too but without audio processor (opus1), had to use hand signal and be extra cautious from other jet skis. Will never take risk by wearing on water, i will try waterwear and wear band/scarf on my head to secure it. God forbid if it fell off  its not going to be easy to find in water, btw does Rondo 2 float on water?

@Salik

I have Rondo 1 and it sinks like a stone in water.  Which is why I securely tether it to a water shirt.

I do not know if Rondo 2 sinks.  Possibly test it out by putting it in its waterwear, filling a sink with water and setting it on top.  My guess is it may sink too.

I agree amusement parks are much better when we hear the screaming!  Wishing you the best in finding a way to keep your Rondo 2 safe at the amusement park.

No, I don't think any processors float.  I was actually really scared when we went jet-skiing, but then I realized that they're very stable and I  probably wouldn't even get wet - and I didn't.

So my main concern was the headband (it was actually a bandana).  If it scares you and you can manage without your processor, that may be better for you.
