Welcome to HearPeers and congratulations on your CI.

Which processor do you use?

Can you describe the feedback sound?

i have the Rondo 2 . My feedback is like when you get it from a microphone!

I have never heard of feedback with cochlear implants.  Are you sure your Rondo2 is on the M setting (through your FineTuner)?      I hear this feed back without the processor so it is coming from my implant !

@Alie Ryken

That I have actually heard about quite a bit!  It’s not feedback.

Some people notice these sounds when they touch or gently rub their ear.  Others when they chew.  Others when they wash their hair or turn their head.

For many people it’s temporary or at least becomes quieter over time.

I’m not sure what this experience is actually called.

I would discuss it with your CI surgeon and audiologist just to be safe.

But know you are not crazy or alone in this experience.

Thanks for your info and reply .

I have another question on the fine tuner of Rondo 2 what exactly does the sensitivity key do ,one increases and the other decreases?

@Alie Ryken

O think of the sensitivity setting like a sound bubble which determines how far away from me to pick up sound.  Decreasing sensitivity makes the bubble smaller and increasing sensitivity makes the bubble bigger.
