One1side
Try testing with either the Angel Sound or Sound and Way Beyond Program. They allow you to slowly improve your skills by testing you with different things. You could start with the basic testing of different tone distinctions and work you way up from there. HearPeers Heroes Ivana Marinac Posted January 18, 2015 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted January 18, 2015 Hello Dhanejeyan, This is perfectly normal! You haven't written us - how long are you deaf? WHat is the cause. If nobody explained to you, postimplantation period is extremely important for (re)habilitation of hearing.Only 5 days passed by. Read more posts on this public forum, ask whatever you are interested for. On the main Med-El website there are some exercises and advices how to learn listen. Also, good source for starting is reading, start with children books, try to talk as much as you can with people whose voice is familiar to you. This phase is extremely important for brain neuroplasticity, adaption of your brain to new stimulus from your surrounding. This period will last for some time, it is different for everyone and your implant should also be adjust within next few months. Just relax and start step by step.... HearPeers Heroes Adam Posted May 21, 2015 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted May 21, 2015 There are many programs on the Internet you can use. Also practice with family and friends. I hope by now you are seeing an improvement. Keep on working at it. You will get there. We have all been frustrated at one time or another. pester123 1 Quote Link to comment https://forum.hearpeers.com/topic/644-ci-activated-2-days-ago/#findComment-3683 Share on other sites

HearPeers Heroes Adam Posted May 22, 2015 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted May 22, 2015 , Choose any children's books that you are familiar with. Some libraries have the book and audio. Listening to the story and reading along will really help. You can also practice the same way with friends and family. Write down a few sentences, have the person read it out loud and you follow along Hope this helps Adam Quote Link to comment https://forum.hearpeers.com/topic/644-ci-activated-2-days-ago/#findComment-3742 Share on other sites
