What do people think of the Artone Max 3 Neckloop and the Remote Mic as a connectivity option for Med-el processors? Specifically:

1) T coil connection for neckloop -- how do each of the available processors (Rondo 1, 2, 3; Sonnets 1, 2, AdHear, Samba) perform with the Artone? Is there dramatic or mild interference from the T coil?

2) Do you use the Artone 3 to connect to TV? What's it like?

3) If you use the Artone remote mic, how do you use it? Do you pair it with your neckloop or an app on your phone? IF the latter, how do you use the app/phone?

4) If using the Artone remote mic outdoors, such as when hiking with a friend, how do you manage wind noise into the mic?

5) RE: ARtone Remote Mic -- does anyone know if it will pair with AudioStream (the bluetooth battery covers for Sonnet 2)?

What do people think of the Artone Max 3 Neckloop and the Remote Mic as a connectivity option for Med-el processors?

MB:  I love it!

Specifically:

1) T coil connection for neckloop -- how do each of the available processors (Rondo 1, 2, 3; Sonnets 1, 2) perform with the Artone? Is there dramatic or mild interference from the T coil?

MB: Rondo 1, Sonnets 1 & 2 all perform great with the Artone.  Rondo 2 needs to have some settings turned off to avoid a ticking sound on T but then performs great with the Artone.  Rondo 3 requires the telecoil adapters to be attached to the port but then performs great with the Artone.

2) Do you use the Artone 3 to connect to TV? What's it like?

MB:  I don’t but I have tested it.  It works fine with the Artone TVB.  Depending on the TV, there can be an echo when on MT.

3) If you use the Artone remote mic, how do you use it? Do you pair it with your neckloop or an app on your phone? IF the latter, how do you use the app/phone?

MB: I have the Artone remote mic paired with the neckloop.  Artone is releasing an app soon for android and iPhones that lets people use their phones as remote apps.

4) If using the Artone remote mic outdoors, such as when hiking with a friend, how do you manage wind noise into the mic?

MB:  I haven’t used it on wind but I would suggest placing a wind block cover on the mic.
