donaldashley 0
Hi. I’m Ashley - a senior student who is supposed to be a interpreter soon. Unfortunately, my left ear just lost the hearing ability which is not promising for the career I chose. I feel scared and insecure. I would make mistakes if I panic. Should I still follow the path I’ve been walking forward to?
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth 2,907 Posted February 19 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted February 19 @donaldashley I am sorry about your sudden hearing loss. I wish we had magic balls to look into to help us make decisions. Have you been evaluated at a cochlear implant center to see if you qualify for a CI ? If you do, you may feel more secure about having appropriate auditory access to interpret. Wishing you the best. Jared Charney
