Which iPhone are you using?

Yes, must be which is why I'm still hoping someone could do a Zoom meeting with me from MEDEL as I have an iPhone and OS that was working and is still working on my iPad etc. I feel like it's possible that I have something messed up on the iPhone side especially after trying to fix so many times--I wish it could just run off Bluetooth and not via the AudioKey but I know that's not in the cards

@Jared Charney

People who use only one AudioStream are reporting success by having their phone forget the devices and then pairing through the accessibility settings and NOT using AudioKey 2 app for configuration at all.  (This does not work for bilateral AudioStream.)

Start by deleting current Bluetooth pairing of AudioStream from phone's Bluetooth menu.
2. Select Settings
3. Scroll down & select Accessibility
4. Scroll down & select Hearing Devices
5. It should automatically search for devices.
6. Turn on your audio processor with AudioStream battery cover
7. Should find audio processor & show device on screen.
8. Click on device & should bring up Bluetooth pair request.
9. Select pair

Hi, in the endless attempts at getting this all to work I forgot that I had done this method and was successful but ever since my iPhone won't work w/the AudioStream I've had no luck. I did try again after reading your post and I was able to once again do it with the iPad but alas . . . with my iPhone nothing, I'm starting to think that I've narrowed down to some kind of BlueTooth problem. Hopefully that will help when I get a Zoom meeting w/Medel, thanks!

I wonder if anyone is successful using AudioStream with both iPhone and iPad and easily switching back and forth between them?

I have lost track of all the ways you have already tried but just in case this helps…..

1.  On the iPad where AudioStream is connected, go to AudioKey2.  Top left menu select conectivity…then AudioStream…then reset.

2.  On both iPad and iPhone go to accessibility… hearing devices… and if AudioStream is listed select forget this device.  Also check under BT that AudioStream is not there.  If there, forget this device.

3.  Turn off and then restart the phone.

4.  Since you have one AudioStream on your phone go to accessibility…hearing devices and pull down then push back the AudioStream so it is in pairing mode.

@Mary Beth Yes, I seriously wish I kept a journal about all of this to help myself and others at this point I can't even get the iPhone to show AudioStream in the Hearing Devices Accessibility no matter what I do, I'm still hopeful that a zoom meeting w/an engineer might figure out that I've done something by accident to mess up the iPhone but honestly I really can't think of anything , thanks so much for your continued attempts to help!

There is always the possibility that something went wrong with your AudioStream.  Remember it is under warranty.

So many people with single AudioStream are having great success by pairing directly through accessibility-hearing devices instead of through AudioKey 2.  Since that is not working for your AudioStream and iPhone it makes me think something may be wrong with it.

As a single AudioStream user you have this pairing set up as an option.  Bilateral AudioStream users do not.  We seem to have to go through the AudioKey 2 configuration in order to assign one AudioStream as left and the other as right.

Right, and I can do it easily like that on the iPad no problem -- have you tried using yours on an iPad or just sticking w/the iPhone?

I had a zoom meeting with them and now they are going to send a replacement to see if that will work it now appears that I can’t get it to work on my iPad as well

I am glad you are getting a replacement AudioStream.  Consider pairing it to your phone through accessibility-hearing device directly.  Others with only one AudioStream are reporting success that way.  Just a suggestion.

I had been using my audio stream beautifully through my iPhone 11 for a wonderful six weeks.  I then attempted to pair with my iPad Air.  A very loud buzzing sound entered in and after turning off the iPhone and the iPad the buzzing continued.  I mean it was loud!!  I worried that the processor had been corrupted so I switched to the regular battery cover and all was well.  I then contacted MedEl and they replaced the audio stream battery cover.  I received the replacement last Friday and immediately paired it with my iPhone successfully.  I enjoyed it through the weekend but on Monday morning it no longer paired with my iPhone.  I tried everything all of you suggested but still the accessibility pairing does not find it anymore.  I'm wondering if it could be the battery frame which was not replaced with the new audio stream battery cover.  I believe the battery frame also contains a chip of some sort as it has a 3 curved bar symbol and was included in the original kit to replace the existing battery frame.  I have the original Sonnet so I'm not sure if Sonnet 2 users got the battery frame with their kit.  I am pretty tech savvy and this has really consumed me because I loved it when I was using it.  I'll be watching to see if anyone figures this out.

@Jullannie

Did your iPhone update its software version over the weekend by any chance?

Yes, my iPhone updated Sunday to 14.5.1.  Do you think we have to wait for Apple or MedEl to figure this one out? Thanks Mary Beth.

Hello friends. I have also this problem with my iPhone 11. I contacted with MED-EL. They said, that they know about this problem and it happens because of iOS 14.5 and newer. Now they are working on an update, what can fix this problem. They wrote me, that in a few weeks will come an update for our Audiostream for fixing this problem.

I have uploaded also the mail from MED-EL specialist and this translation from German.

Thanks @Sultan Aliyevmuch appreciated I've had consistent results w/my Iphone 11 and AudioStream but I do often have to reset or repair it but it has been working even though a bit glitchy. I do hope they can improve upon it.
