Percy
Has anyone used the activity hook on the Sonnet? I am wondering how secure it keeps the processor like when riding a roller coaster?
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted June 9, 2021 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted June 9, 2021 @Percy Depends on our type of ear lobes. I would not trust it to keep my Sonnets secure on a rollercoaster. I would feel more secure with a different option.
Percy
Thanks for your feedback. Maybe I will look into getting the Mellie processor clip, that looks like it may work better. Dennisjbr
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted June 9, 2021 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted June 9, 2021 Some ideas to consider…. earmold with large vent- just to anchor it if you have one nammucap https://www.nammuhats.com/product-category/classic-nammu-hats/ eargear cover with tether and clip https://www.gearforears.com/products/ear-gear-cochlear-corded/55955 mic lock tubing https://smartear.eu/en/products/smartear-silicon-holder-mic-lock-type-352?query_id=
Dennisjbr
Hi @Percy i often take them off on roller coasters for a couple of reasons: Yes, they can fall off If you keep the processors on, the head rocking/banging motion hitting the side head bumpers can be really painful and can also possibly break them. Percy
@Mary Bethyea, I was thinking of the ear mold, I actually have one for my right ear, that would better. @dennisjbr yea, I know, mine came of one time while riding a roller coaster and by Gods grace the processor was still laying on the roller coaster cross bar that went across my chest. After that time I stop wearing my processor on roller coasters. I never had an issue with my hearing aid so I think I will be ok with an ear mold. thanks for all the feedback Dennisjbr
Dennisjbr
Where/How would an earmold work with like a Sonnet? I missed something in an earlier post maybe.
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted June 9, 2021 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted June 9, 2021 @Percy Be careful. Some roller coasters bang our heads around quite a bit. @Dennisjbr makes a good point. The processor may stay in place but could get damaged. Enjoy the amusement park! HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted June 9, 2021 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted June 9, 2021 @Dennisjbr We do it often with kids. Some adults like it too. It is for securing the Sonnet/Sonnet2. Not for audio transmission. Just attach the earmold tubing to the Sonnet/Sonnet2 hook. Dennisjbr
