If yes, is your CI center a one processor or two processor center? Two processor centers let us choose 2 processors with each surgery so we have a back up. It is a great idea to get information from all the CI brands that your CI team list as choices for you. This forum is hosted by Med-El . Almost everyone here uses Med-El implants. The internal implant is called Synchrony 2 and there are many Med-El electrode arrays. The processor from Med-El that uses combined acoustic and electric hearing is called Sonnet2 EAS. The dates provided were for past date 8/20 so i did select 8/ 26 ( iowa) but i have a day of appointments on that day with probably including the selection process, maybe i am jumping the gun, i am trying to get more info prior to 8/26 because my implant surg is 8/27. I was shown a few pieces of equipment last visit, and a med el book. So i guess its the sonnet2 eas. Im just anxious and wantvto be sure i get everything.
