Dianna
Hi anyone here have a roger on? Mary beth, can you compare this with audio link? With the exception to the ability to "point" to speakers or have the presenter wear it, i wonder if this technology compares to the medel item "audio link"
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted November 15, 2021 Author HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted November 15, 2021 @Dianna AudioLink, like other brand remote mics, is a fixed mic. Phonak Roger uses more sophisticated mic systems which use beamformer tech to focus in on speech and adapt in noise by increasing the speech signal. We use Roger technology in schools with deaf and hard of hearing students. In my experience, Roger out performs other mic options in the noisy school setting. But Roger is expensive and requires both a mic (Roger On, Roger Select, Roger Pen) and a receiver (Roger 21 integrated Sonnet battery cover, Roger X (02) plugged into FM battery cover & set to the correct CI profile, Roger neckloop/Roger MyLink neckloop with processors on MT/T. John will be discussing AudioLink and Roger tech during his Show & Tell.
