Ralph34
Once the last upgrade came out I installed it following the Med-El instructions. One confusing thing is, once the Connectivity options of Upgrade and Configuration have been done once and you try again it will appear to not connect, however if you go to the Listening Settings and see actual Volume or Sensitivity settings as red lines you are actually connected. When I go to an area of my house I hear high pitched clicking or chirps through my Sonnet 2 with AudioStream. It is not continuous, only 6 or 8 chirps and then gone for several minutes. It seems random as I have not figured out any pattern. In that area I am within 2 or 3 metres (yards) of several devices such as wifi thermostat, Ring doorbell speaker and a couple of Wemo lamp switches. it is not really annoying but I wondered if others were experiencing the same thing. I did not notice this before the upgrade but that may be coincidence. I will try to identify the source but since it comes and goes that might take some time. I will update this forum once I figure out more details so stay tuned. Mary Beth

Thanks overall my experience with the audio stream after the update has been very good using both iPad and iPhone switching automatically almost 80% of the time! MED-EL Moderator
Hello everyone, our product experts have not heard of this issue before and unfortunately cannot provide you with a solution at this moment. They are suggesting that if you have a lot of IoT devices in the house, it might mean you'll experience a lot of 2.4 GHz interference and this might be the cause of the mentioned issue. Try to see if you have the same sound once you're in a different area. Kind Regards, Giulia Mary Beth and SKOM

Ralph34
My follow up on the clicks and chirps I was hearing in February. I didn’t notice the sounds for about a month afterwards. Then I started hearing squeals and scratchy sounds. This became more common from once every few days to several times a day. The squeals were so loud that I would pull the CI away from my head. The squeals last 4 to 5 seconds. I noticed this in my house, while walking on the street and in stores. If I removed the AudioStream there was no noise so it was AudioStream related. I suspected it was from wifi or some other environmental interference . I contacted Union Hearing, the Med-El distributor in Canada and by that afternoon they switched out the AudioStream. THE NOISE WAS GONE. The AudioStream must have been defective. It was replaced under warrantee. A happy customer 😀. In my case the chirps and squeals only started after the AudioStream was about 7 months old. It doesn’t sound like this is a common problem so most will never have it but, if you get unexplained squeals and squawks check it out.
