Post surgery pain?

Hi, 

I got the VSB implanted three days ago. I got to spend the night at the hospital and the surgery took about three hours. The surgeon told me afterwards that it all took a bit longer than expected due to my middle ear looking stranger than expected (I've had several surgeries before to try and restore my hearing and such). 

Now I'm still in quite a bit of pain, to be honest. Mainly in the bone-section above my ear where I assume they put the implant. It's manageable with ibuprofen and paracetamol but I worry it's something wrong. 

I understand that the only way to know for sure is to call the surgeon, but that's pretty difficult and I'm really just interested in hearing about how other people have experienced this surgery. 

There is no signs of infection at all, so that's 😃. 

Hope one of you all have the time and experience to help me out, and sorry if my English is awkward, it's only my second language.
