The SONY LR44 batteries that I ordered through Med-El are alkaline and expire in 11-2016. They are supposed to last between 6-8 hours. Mine lasted between 4 1/2 and 6 1/4 hours. Out of 14 trials, they only hit 6 hours twice. For the 15th trial I used Energizer Silver Oxide 357 batteries and they lasted 12 hours. Alkaline batteries are cheaper than silver oxide batteries, but if you want a longer battery life silver oxide is the way to go. Just sharing my results. I thought it was quite funny! I needed to make sure if u were being part serious or not. It can get up into the 40s in Celsius here in summer. So it can be quite hot.
