Ivana,

Students with EVA (enlarged vestibular aqueduct) tend to present with sudden drops in hearing and fluctuations in hearing levels. If they qualify and get CIs, will their hearing still fluctuate?

If a student with EVA qualify for a CI it means that substantial hearing loss has occurred. Furthermore, it is unlikely that he or she will sense a difference and when you got an electrode you can get everything with fitting: intensity, clarity, coding-matrix... Hearing cells than can just present a difference within the lower frequency range and, possibly hearing preservation procedure.
