Hello all,

I wanted to offer the members of the HearPeers community an opportunity to participate in a research study being conducted at Duke University (Durham, North Carolina). The details are as follows:

Speech Perception in Cochlear Implant Patients

Adult patients with cochlear implants may be eligible to participate in a research study evaluating speech perception. These studies will take place at the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience at Duke University.

You may be eligible for this research study if you are:

-          Between the ages of 18 and 70

-          Currently utilize a MED-EL cochlear implant

-          Have had a cochlear implant for longer than 2 months

Qualifying participants receive compensation for time and travel for completed visits.

For more information, please call 919-668-1334.

This study has been approved by the Duke Medicine Institutional Review board for Clinical Investigations (Pro00063259). This study was initiated by members of Duke University faculty and is not a MED-EL study.
