Anyway, i had the Cochlear Implant in Australia 17 years ago when i was just a baby. I was born profoundly deaf but it wasnt noticed until i was missing milestones at 14 months old. Since having the implant at a young age, it has allowed me to have 'a normal life' so far. I go to mainstream school and will be graduating at the end of the year. Without it, i would never have gone this far in life. For people thinking about having one, it is worth it, it will change your life completely.
