Candace
I was implanted three years ago and have happily enjoyed this miracle. This week I have developed pain under my magnet, felt as a headache. Anyone ever heard this?
HearPeers Heroes Kara of Canada Posted October 16, 2016 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted October 16, 2016 Hi welcome to hearpeers. Yes I had this if I change my magnet. I wear a 2. I changed it to a 3 as it was sliding around a bit. I got a headache from it.
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted October 16, 2016 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted October 16, 2016 As Kara said, the magnet strength can cause discomfort. Other things can cause discomfort too. You may want to discuss this with your CI team. If magnets are a bit too loose yet moving up in magnet strength is not possible, ask about using the new Med-El GripWear. People started using it recently and so far the reports are awesome. I have not seen info on it yet on the Med-El website but it is in use. HearPeers Heroes Kara of Canada Posted October 16, 2016 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted October 16, 2016 Thanks Mary Beth. It seems to be good. I was testing it as my hair is long and sometimes pulls off if I move my hair. Julesrdh
MED-EL Moderator
Hi Candace, thanks for reaching out to our community on HearPeers. As you are experiencing pain, I strongly suggest speaking with your hearing specialist or local MED-EL Representative for hands-on support and advice. I have sent you a private message with further information. Kind regards, Leigh On 10/16/2016 at 0:07 PM, Candace said: I was implanted three years ago and have happily enjoyed this miracle.
