Hicksy Posted February 14, 2017 Report Share Posted February 14, 2017 So I'm at a resort for the first time since being implanted and I find myself concerned about suntan lotion or insect repellent causing damage to the processor. I remember back in the day I used to fight forest fires and Muskol insect repellent used to melt plastic. Of course I'm not planning on applying anything on or spraying directly on the processor but I'm curious if there are any approved or verboten of these recommended? One option is to buy ear gear. These cover the part of the processor that sits on your ear. It wouldn't necessarily protect the coil. I'm sure if you wipe off the coil and processor every once in a while, that would be sufficient.
