Lynn
Hi, I am waiting for the surgeon to schedule my surgery. I am excited and scared. I will be implanted in my left ear. What type of anesthesia did you have? And, if you work outside the home, how long did it take until you felt like returning to work? Thanks. HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted May 26, 2017 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted May 26, 2017 Hi Lynn, I wish you the best. I had general anesthesia. I am a teacher and returned to work after 1 week. I had restrictions on lifting items over 10 pounds, etc but that did not impact work. Which processor are you getting? HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted May 26, 2017 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted May 26, 2017 I have Sonnet, Rondo and Opus2 processors. Which CI center are you using? I had my surgeries at New York Eye & Ear in NYC.
