Kathryn
And .... I have a date! Not as early as I would have liked, but I'm still overjoyed finally I have a confirmation - 18th June 🙂 I go on my summer holiday about 5.5 weeks afterwards which is perhaps not ideal ... but whatever - given that I don't even know whether I'll wake up with a CI or a Bonebridge, I'm all for an adventure and flexibiity!! Members Tim
Waiting and the uncertainty are hard. If its any consolation, the bone bridge leaves more options open such as for improved surgical techniques to work around the neuroma and alternatives. If your cochlea is healthy enough behind it, perhaps you could get stereo/spatial awareness and be a much better fit for bone conduction than I ever was. Have you tried bone conduction headphones to experiment with while waiting? Everyone's hearing journey is different and we are all wishing you the best of luck.
