dizziness after surgery?

How long does the nausea and dizziness last after surgery?  And is there anything I can do to help alleviate it?  I’m five days post surgery.

@KimW

I am sorry you are experiencing dizziness and nausea.  I hope your surgeon has a way to help relieve these symptoms for you soon.

I just need reassurance that this will go away. Have others experienced this?

@KimW

I did not experience dizziness nor nausea but I read reports from others who have.

@KimW I did this second time.  Vertigo/Imbalance.  It was fairly bad to the point I couldn’t walk from the front of the house to the back without hitting something.  Trying to walk the pups in that state was not something I ever want to repeat. Lol.  It lasted about 5-6 days.  It’ll go away.  If it continues after a week, contact your doctors office.

PS- You can take something like Dramamine or Benadryl to help.  It’s available OTC.  There’s another but need mucho coffee before I can recollect the name.

After about 8 days post surgery, the dizziness and nausea subsided considerably.
