Tom Manz
Why do I continue to get a twang listening to music. When the high pitch is adjusted lower I loose the clarity and can't understand what is being said. I always have a echo at a higher pitch in most everything I hear. Music is just unrecognizable. Thanks in advance
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted June 29, 2017 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted June 29, 2017 Hi Tom, See if your audiologist can change your map so you don't get that echo. I had an unpleasant sound and we traced it to one electrode and turned that one off and that annoying sound went away. Sometimes it is a bit of trial and error to figure things out. Good luck. HearPeers Heroes Kara of Canada Posted June 29, 2017 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted June 29, 2017 Hi Tom. Remember that we sometimes need lots of patience when training. We don't get the automatic switch on that some people think can happen. It took three months for me to start to recognize music. Then a few more before it all amd sense. I also agree with Mary Beth. Sometimes we just need an adjustment with our mapping to get a good start. Tom Manz
