70 yo retired DSPS California  college counselor.   Profoundly HoH.  Oralist  but know some ASL.

Just recently applied for and awaiting for a new Service Dog for the Deaf.  Had in home interview and inspection last month.

Hearing aids still working forme but am using BT, neckloops and fm systems more frequently now with my Phonak Naidas.

Hi there, 

 

I'm getting there at sometime in the future.  HAS are becoming more and more difficult to find benefits from.  At some point I'll be heading to an evaluation for CIs. I will probably go to UCSF for that for a baseline evaluation soon and we'll go from there.

Good luck.  These CIs are soooo much better than my hearing aids ever were!
