Not working

It has been 4 months since my cochlear implant was activated. I am not hearing anything but static. 12 hours a day nothing but static. When will I hear something else. Has anyone had the same problem?

Thank You Ken

I am sorry to hear this Ken.  Are you using a Sonnet processor?  Have you been receiving new MAPs from your audiologist during this time?

Hi Ken,

Thanks for reaching out. I strongly recommend that you get in contact with your CI team. A medical specialist needs to assess your situation. Let me know if I can do anything else to help.

Many thanks!

I am waiting for a call from my audiologist, she in making a appointment with Medel..They are going to check out my CI, to see if any thing is wrong. Hate to think I will need to do all of this again.

Keep with your audiologist and your implant team... ;)

I have read few stories like yours, from people who needed more time, but please - check up first the status of your implant.

Anything can happen, please don't despair. ;)

Hi Ken, thank you for reaching out to the HearPeers community. I'm glad to hear you've been in contact with your audiologist. Let me know if you need the contact details of your local MED-EL Representative and I'll send them through to you.

Kind regards,

Leigh
